Meet the Owners
Dawn Price
Dawn holds a B.S. in Nutrition and worked as both an inpatient/outpatient and wellness dietitian for five years before transitioning into the pet nutrition industry. Her passion for animals and nutrition has been strong since childhood. One of her first dogs struggled with chronic health issues from a young age, and after becoming frustrated with the ongoing challenges, Dawn shifted her career focus to study canine nutrition.
Dawn has attended numerous conferences led by some of the leading pioneers in canine nutrition. She has completed multiple courses in canine and feline nutrition and continues to expand her knowledge in areas such as nutrition, herbs, and diet formulation.
She also taught Canine/Feline Nutrition to veterinary technicians and animal professionals at North Shore Community College. During this time, Dawn worked for one of the largest pet food distributors, covering New England and Canada. Her role included visiting manufacturing plants, meeting with veterinarian formulators of raw and kibble foods, and providing training to store owners and staff on products and topics related to natural feeding.
In 2005, Dawn opened her first retail store, and she has since expanded, opening several more stores over the years. She is now the owner and operator of four independent retail stores in Massachusetts, with a strong focus on raw diets and natural health alternatives for dogs and cats.
Dawn and Jeff share their home with four rescue dogs of various breeds: a lab/shepherd mix, a Catahoula mix, a Belgian Shepherd, and a spirited tripod named Stu!
Jeff Sirois
Jeff serves as the Deputy/Chief of the Beverly Fire Department in Massachusetts. After meeting Dawn, he started volunteering at The Natural Dog. Now, when he’s not at the fire station, Jeff dedicates most of his time to assisting with daily operations at The Natural Dog, managing the finances, overseeing the budget, and maintaining the buildings. With a lifelong passion for dogs, Jeff also advocates for healthy diets for both dogs and cats.
Jeff and Dawn have three human children and share their home with four rescue dogs of various breeds: a lab/shepherd mix, a Catahoula mix, a Belgian Shepherd, and a spirited tripod named Stu. They frequently visit the White Mountains, where they enjoy hiking, biking, skiing, and spending quality time outdoors on adventures with their dogs.
